Project Overview
Refreshed both the hall bathroom and the hall half bathroom in an Anderson, SC home — new quartz vanity tops, framed mirrors, hexagon tile flooring with white grout, popcorn ceiling removal, exhaust fan relocation from wall to ceiling, and a brand-new toilet, vanity, and light fixture in the half bath.
The Challenge
Two dated bathrooms in the same hallway: a hall bath with a wall-mounted exhaust fan in the wrong location, a popcorn ceiling, and original flooring; and a half bath with a damaged toilet flange and customer-provided new flooring waiting to be installed. The homeowner wanted both rooms tackled in one project so the hallway reads as a coordinated update.
Our Solution
Hall bathroom: we replaced the vanity and installed a new quartz countertop with backsplash and side splash, added an undermount sink, faucet, vanity hardware, framed mirror, and vanity light. We removed the popcorn ceiling texture, skim-coated the ceiling, completed sheetrock repairs, and patched the old wall opening from the previous exhaust fan. The fan was relocated to the ceiling. We removed the existing flooring and installed new hexagon tile with white grout, then primed and painted ceiling, walls, trim, and the bathroom side of the door. Half bathroom: we removed the existing flooring, replaced the damaged toilet flange discovered during demo, installed the customer-provided flooring, then installed a new toilet, vanity, quartz vanity top with undermount sink, faucet, light fixture, and mirror.

Frequently Asked Questions
What rooms were remodeled?
Both the hall bathroom and the hall half bathroom — done in the same project so the hallway reads as one coordinated update.
What flooring was installed?
The hall bathroom received new hexagon porcelain tile with white grout — a timeless small-format pattern that reads modern but won't date the room. The half bath used customer-provided flooring of the homeowner's choice.
Why remove the popcorn ceiling?
Popcorn ceilings collect dust, hide moisture damage in bathrooms, and instantly date a room. Smooth-skim and repaint is one of the cheapest visual upgrades you can do during a remodel — we always recommend it.
